The Branch meets in person on the 4th Friday each month from 10.30AM – 12:30PM at the David Rayner Building, Scotsdales Garden Center, Cambridge Road, Great Shelford, Cambridge, CB22 5JT.

The meeting usually comprises opportunities for discussion with other members, a guest speaker presentation, and a soup and sandwich lunch.

For members who can’t make a face-to-face meeting, ‘Cuppa & Cake’ zoom meetings take place via Zoom video conferencing software (free) on the 2nd Friday of each month. An Email is sent to members prior to each online meeting with the access link.

Please contact us via the membership secretary if you’ haven’t joined us before. You’ll be added to the mailing list and will receive a link to join the meeting. You’re welcome to just turn up for our in-person meetings.

26 August: Dr Matthew Smith, Hon. Consultant ENT Surgeon at Cambridge University Hospitals  NHS Foundation Trust: Developing a non-invasive way  to monitor swallowing in health disorders.

6 September at 3PM: Parkinson’s Cafe-style meeting – Arlington Manor, Girton. And going forward, every 1st Tuesday of the month at 3PM.

18 September at 3PM: Parkinson’s Cafe-style meeting – Cambridge Manor, Milton Road, Cambridge. And going forward, every 3rd Thursday of the month at 3PM.

23 September: Dr Roger Barker of the Barker Lab at the Brain Repair Centre, and Hon President of the Cambridge Branch of P-UK, on developments in PD research and medication.

28 October: Sue Christoforou, Parkinson’s UK’s Senior Policy and Campaigns Adviser – financial health.

25 November: Christmas Party meeting at the David Rayner Building— quiz, raffle, light refreshments, entertainment.

16 December: Branch Christmas Lunch at the David Rayner Building —details to follow.
